On Saturday June 21, the longest day of the year, Euromast treats everyone who is 1.85 m tall or taller to a free admission ticket. Outside at the entrance, a special team including tall models will measure the length of the visitors of the highest building of Rotterdam. Special guests are the world’s tallest model Ellen (2.10 m, USA), the tallest woman Martine Balster (2.04 m) and the tallest man Rob Bruintjes (2.21 m) in Holland.
From June 14 – July 13, 2008 Rotterdam will be La City. Next to the “tall people programme” the Euromast emphasizes with this second edition its soft edge by offering a programme with a feminine touch. The longest day of the year starts officially at 08.30 hrs with breakfast in bed served in the suites by Rob Bruintjes, the tallest man in Holland, to the tallest woman of Holland and the world’s tallest model.
Until 18.00 hrs our “tall people brigade” is ready to measure in a playful way all the visitors. Visitors who are not that tall (1.85 m) can go to a special stall to get extra length. There are also other events on this special day on which the sun won’t set for as much as 18 hours. There is a fashion show for tall women in cooperation with All about Eve and Caland Schoen, a special La City cocktail bar, an Early Bird breakfast, several fun activities for children including the Children’s playground with Circus RotjeKnor, they can make hats with Mrs. Klieder en Klodder, a dinner with 21 dishes and a lot more. The party will last until midnight.
Bright and early: win a night in a suite
On Saturday June 21, the Euromast will open its doors extra early at 08.30 hrs with a delicious Early Bird breakfast. Early birds can enjoy a tasty breakfast with a view of Rotterdam. This breakfast is including coffee, tea, a glass of orange juice and milk. For the kids there are lots of tinkering activities with Mrs. Klieder en Klodder. The Early Bird breakfast will be served till 10.00 o'clock and costs €21.00 for adults and €12.00 for children up to 11 years. Reservation is necessary. When you make a reservation we will ask how tall you are. For the tallest breakfast guest could win a night in a suite!!!
In the evening visitors can enjoy a dinner with as much as 21 dishes plus a matching wine arrangement. Dinner takes place at Sunset. Enjoy a beautiful sunset and the culinary delicacies served up by our chef. The price for the longest dinner is €121.00 (including wine arrangement).
